Godfrey Ricketts lived with his parents at 154 Wednesfield Road in Heath Town and worked as a clerk for Mr F.J.J. Gibbons at Church Lane in Wolverhampton. Private Ricketts enlisted in the “Non-Manual” section of the 6th South Staffords in September 1914, and was later posted to “A” company of the 1/6th Battalion.

He is buried in St Quentin Cabaret, Plot I Row F Grave 8
